Purpose: 1 John 2:6 "Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did." The First Baptist Women's Ministries will honor the Lord Jesus Christ and bring glory to God through the following:

• Growing in the knowledge of God and of His Scriptures through teaching and Bible Study.
• Serving the needs of those outside our body through Missions and outreach projects.
• Uplifting the Christian sisters in our own body by activities and honorary events.
• Providing comfort for those in pain and mourning.
• Providing a pleasant environment in which to worship.

Missionary Projects: First Baptist Church currently supports 27 missionaries. We endeavor to communicate with our missionary families on a regular basis.

Bible Studies: The study of God's Word is so crucial to our spiritual development. We hold Bible studies in the fall and spring. Call the church office for details concerning winter sessions to begin this month.  One session will be held on Tuesday Mornings at 9:30 starting on Feb. 26th.  The title of this study is A Woman of Healthy Relationships by Dee Brestin.  The other session will be on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM.  It's title is Stepping UP by Beth Moore.   

Meals: We provide meals for those times of grief, illness, or distress.

Activities: Fellowship is an important part of our Christian lives. We have two major activities a year, the Mother/Daughter Banquet near Mother's Day and our Ladies Christmas Brunch.  

C.A.R.E.:Come and Receive Encouragement. Our CARE program meets the last Thursday of the month Sept. - May.  Women of all ages and years of marriage are invited to join with other women as we discuss various aspects of marriage.  Please come at  8:45 am for refreshments.  The meeting starts at 9 am.  Call Lynda Edwards (765-676-5120) to register your child for child care.  Next meeting is May 22, 2008.
