Danville, Indiana is a bedroom community for Indianapolis. It is located twenty miles due west of downtown Indianapolis, and fourteen miles west of the outer loop, (I-465). Danville’s 6,400 citizens have easy access to one of America’s largest cities via a four lane highway, yet enjoy small-town distinctiveness. An excellent school system and public sports program makes Danville attractive to families of school age children. Christian schools in the area include Bethesda Baptist church, Brownsburg, Kingsway Christian Church in Avon, & Covenant Christian High School. Churches in the community are Apostolic, Assembly of God, Baptist (GARBC, Southern and Missionary), Calvary Chapel, Catholic, Church of Christ, Church of God, two Christian (Disciples of Christ and Independent), Christian Missionary Alliance, Episcopal, Friends, Methodist, and Nazarene. Medical care is superb, with a number of Christian physicians practicing in the community. The presence of Hendricks Regional Health hospital in Danville complements outstanding medical centers in Indianapolis. There are several good restaurants in town. There is very little industry in the community. There is very little crime. The area to the west of Danville is rural.
